Let your imagination be your guide as
you design an exciting project to enhance agricultural education,
inside or
outside the classroom.
What resources and materials
will you need?
The
Mini-Grants Program could make it happen!
Mini Grants
offer funds for agriculturally related projects, units, and
lessons. Requests must describe hands-on activities that will develop and
enrich understanding of agriculture as the source of food and/or fiber
in our society. Selected recipients may receive up to $400 for project
implementation.
Selection:
Submissions will be judged on creativity, completeness,
and relevance to agricultural education. Sufficient information must be
given that others can replicate your work.
Eligibility:
Elementary, Middle and Secondary School Teachers, Individuals and
Organizations in Maryland
Application Deadlines:
Recipients will be notified three weeks following the
deadline.
Spring Grants - March 1st
Fall Grants - October 1st
Implementation: Mini Grants must be implemented within six months of receiving grant money.
Recipients must submit a written summary evaluation to the Maryland Agricultural Education
Foundation six months after receiving grant money. Mini grant recipients may
be called upon to share their project at MAEF's Annual Dinner the first Thursday in November,
and during MAEF's Summer AITC and Agriscience Teachers Workshops.

Maryland Agricultural Education Foundation, Inc. (MAEF) with credit
