Professional Development

Middle School Teachers

MAEF recognizes the need for ongoing training opportunities for educators. We host workshops from many nationally recognized programs including the Leopold Education Project, Project Learning Tree and the Wet and Wild curriculum. These workshops all have an agricultural and natural resource focus, and participants receive teacher’s materials, curriculum guides and much, much more!

MAEF Facilitator’s Training:

"Take Me Out to the Cornfield" , "Green Thumb Gems" , "Literature Links To Agriculture"

MAEF instructors will come to your organization, or you can schedule a great day at Swan Harbor to train your educators, counselors or field staff to present these hands-on, inquiry-based lessons in agriculture! One day trainings on any or all of the curriculum guides includes facilitation skill-building, try-it-for-yourself sessions, group lesson sharing and MAEF guides to take home. These workshops are scheduled as needed or by appointment!
