Don't miss the visitor activities!

The following activities are available to use outside the Showcase to provide information and encourage visitors to the Showcase.

• Design & Stamp Your Own Bookmark
• Children select a "fact" bookmark from one of several topics: chickens, cows, pigs, bees, the Green Industry, or sheep.  Then they will have a variety of stamps and techniques to embellish their choice.  Adding a ribbon completes the project.
• Make a Puppet
• Children choose from either a cow, pig or sheep puppet.  A sheet of facts is glued on the back of the puppet.  There are two versions - one for primary readers and one for intermediate readers.
• Garden Greenie
• Turf grass beautifies our homes and parks as well as providing playing fields for Little League games, golf courses, and baseball games at Oriole Park.  In this session, children grow their own turf grass in nylon stockings, then decorate the Garden Greenie with eyes and a pompom nose.
• Butter Making
• Children try their hand at butter making by shaking heavy cream in a plastic container until it turns to butter.  They sample their dairy product by scooping it out with pretzel sticks.
• A Vine through Time (fall months only)
• Children will make a book that depicts the life cycle of a pumpkin.
